Santa ditches the sleigh

Every year I'm given a new Xmas ornament for the tree. This year is one of my favorites.

Wingtip SPD’s

Pretty interesting idea here from Bontrager. Personally, I never wear a suit nor wingtips to work so I have no need for such a product. But, I can see how some people could dig it.

That's what I googled....this was my hit.

Recently marked down to the low low low ludicrously priced $124.44.

Now...interestingly enough, if you simply google 'bicycle sweater' you get this beauty. No, that's not ugly at all!

Niner “You Are What You Drink” Top Cap

Not sure if I'd find the bottle cap of my favorite libation staring back at me motivating or a catalyst to hop off my bike and have a frosty one. I'd like to think that the cap would be a nice reminder of my reward to come after a long hard ride.

Replaces Your Existing Top Cap so that you can snap your favorite beer bottle crown over the built in lip to customize your ride. YAWYD - You Are What You Drink. Available here for only $12.99

Vaya Bags

For the life of me, I'm not sure why I haven't posted about this before. For the past 3 years I've been sporting my Vaya Bag almost daily. I fly with it, ride with it and take it too the office. The bag is fantastic in every situation. I'm certainly not the most gentle person on the planet. I never place, I toss or cram. But I can say without any trepidation that my Vaya bag has taken the abuse without a single blemish.

The beauty of Vaya bags is that the bag is 100% customizable. You can pick the colors, materials, pocket sizes....your request is her command. Best part is, they come in at a very competitive $65-150 price range. When I purchased mine a while back she was pretty much sticking to solid stripes and blocks of colors. But, from the looks of things, the sky is the limit these days.

Mine bag is in this style. I can't recommend it enough.

Vaya Bags are all handmade by Tianna Meilinger with the occasional help of her family and friends. As an environmental scientist Tia believes in reusing and recycling materials. That is why Vaya Bags are made from recycled canvas. The canvas used to make the bags is scrap and surplus material that is recycled from local sailboat factories. Tia also uses recycled bicycle tubes to make all of her bike tube gear.

Just in time for the snowfall. Or in my case...just in time for my annual pilgrimage back home to Boston. Available here for only $19.99

Cage fits standard frame water bottle mounts. We photographed the cage with a flask, but the flask is not included.

Hold on tight

Found this cool photo of Aaron Teasdale here. Sure hope he gave his brakes a serious once over before launching himself down this mountainside.

Let the Good Times Roll

Well, I can scratch out another one of my ideas. I'd been working on a Let The Good Times Roll t-shirt for a while now. I actually gotten into some pretty fleshed out designs and was likely to soon start printing. That was, until I saw this beauty from Steady Rollin.

The return of Cook Brothers

As an old and still pedaling BMX'er the news of this return made my day. Never as large as the Mongoose's, Hutch's, or Profile's of the world, Cook Brothers Racing still managed to carve out a great reputation back in the day with their cranks and components. Their first product rollout is a set of cranks they are calling the Bonz, which is being marketed towards the single speed scene. I hope this is just the beginning. Welcome back. Welcome Back.
